Officials say they want to reduce the reimbursement rate for intake and assessment services when handled by contracted entities, rather than adult foster care providers, to $100. Without that billing modifier, the service would be reimbursed at $266.62. The change is expected to save $1.27 million, officials say as they look to trim spending on long-term services and supports ahead of federal funding cuts.
