DignityMA supports H.3150 / S.2009 – Public Records

Statement of Support for H.3150 / S.2009: An Act Relating to Access to Public Records

SECTION 1. Section 7 of Chapter 66 of the General Laws, is hereby amended by inserting at the end thereto the following sentence: All records in the custody of the state secretary shall be open to public inspection and available for copying after the expiration of 90 years from creation of the record.

SECTION 2. Section 2A of Chapter 46 of the General Laws, is hereby amended by striking out, in the first sentence, the words “children born out of wedlock or” and “or those of persons born out of wedlock”.
