Bill Henning

For the past 20 years, Bill Henning has been the executive director of the Boston Center for Independent Living, a non-profit, civil rights organization committed to eliminating discrimination, isolation and segregation of people with disabilities through advocacy, information and referral, peer support, skills training, PCA services, and transitional services. He is a co-founder of Dignity Alliance Massachusetts and a co-leader of its Coordinating Committee.

Earlier, Bill spent 18 years as an organizer and director with Cape Organization for Rights of the Disabled.  His experience includes community organizing, advocacy, direct services, human services management, fundraising.

Bill has a BA in history and political science from UMass Amherst and resides in Hyde Park.
